The Breathing Lab is a safe place to question, to wonder, and to gather information about how we are designed to move and the mechanics of breathing. As a student in this laboratory, you can make an agreement with yourself to experiment with unfamiliarity, or just wonder.
Our laboratory experiments are based on the principals of the Alexander Technique.
We experiment with how to do what we want to do when we move, in order to accomplish our intention.
Our whole system does what we ask because we are an irrevocably integrated whole. We are very well made.
The Alexander Technique is a process to restore your natural coordination within your entire system. It puts you in charge of your efficient response to stimuli. Sometimes it is about knowing which joints and muscles need to move, and in what sequence.
All this, so that everything that needs to move can move freely as we breathe.
